We host students and graduates on the farm, and share what we have learned about organic production with emerging farmers.
Students and graduates
Our first group of students from Majuba TVET College joined us for 18 months of work-integrated learning and finished in March 2025. Since then we have continued to take in-service trainees from agricultural programmes, including farming management and mechanisation, for 18-month placements.
Graduates placed with us through mentorship programmes work alongside the team with a named mentor and report on their progress regularly. The work is real: weeding, transplanting, saving seed, mixing organic pest treatments. One of our graduates now manages the chilli project.
Emerging farmers
Many small farmers do the right things in the field but struggle to prove it at audit time, because the records are not there. Our workshops cover the practical side of going organic:
- Building soil with compost and cover crops
- Organic pest control that works on a working farm
- Post-harvest handling and drying
- Keeping the daily records an organic inspector will ask for
We also work with farmers who want to grow for export markets alongside us.

If you place students in work-integrated learning or run a graduate programme, send us the number of learners, the qualification, the outcomes you need and your dates. Placements depend on the season and the space we have on the farm.
